Quick Review And Relevant Details About Vivo V9!

Finding a great smartphone under 25k in India can be really confusing, especially when brands are launching new devices left, right and center. Vivo recently launched V9, which is officially the first device in the country to get the display notch in this price segment. Vivo V9 price in India is about 23k, and before you consider this, we have listed down the aspects that you must know about.

Design and more

With Vivo V9, the first thing you would notice is the incredible similarities with iPhone X. Yes, that’s not surprising for many, and it can be a good or a bad thing, depending on what you think of it. The design almost feels like a distant cousin, with a big display that covers almost the entire frontal panel of the screen. The rear part of the phone also feels similar in many ways. To be precise, we did like the overall weight of the new Vivo device at just 150 grams.

Hardware and more

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 2.2GHz Octa-core processor of V9 works pretty decently, though we did expect more from the hardware. For 23k, you get around 4GB of RAM, which can be bummer. There’s 64GB of onboard memory, which is expandable up to 256 GB via a microSD card. V9 gets the Funtouch OS 4.0 skin from the brand atop Android 8.1, and you have a 3260mAh non-removable battery that offers a day’s charge with average to heavy usage. Sensors and connectivity options are standard. One thing that we found missing for the segment is the USB Type-C port, which should have been included.

Display, camera and more

We loved how the 6.3-inch FHD+ touchscreen display responded in daylight. The user can actually feel the beauty of the resolution of 1080×2280 pixels, and the 19:9 aspect ratio makes many apps look better for sure. Vivo V9 is eventually a selfie-centric smart phone, so it gets a 24 MP shooter on the front. On the rear, you get a 16 MP + 5 MP dual camera setup, which can be called decent at best.

With so much on offer, V9 does really live up to the expectations, but it will have to compete with F7 from Oppo, which is not a bad device either and compares on similar grounds. If you are a Vivo fan, there’s no reason why you should avoid this one. Others may want to compare more options. You can get V9 at a discount online!
